INTER COUNTY Competition 2026

It’s that time of the year again. The 2025-26 Inter County Competition will consist of a qualifying round to determine the semi finalists and the semi-finals & finals will be determined on finals day. The dates and main venue are shown below. The number of entries in each grade will determine the size of the draw and the additional venues required. County reps to submit their teams along with payment no later than 23rd January 2026

Inter County Draws Grades 3 & 5. Preliminary Rounds. Sunday 22nd February 2026.

Important Late Changes – Grade 3 Moved to Baldoyle, 10am start and top two teams from each group advance. Baltinglass venue no longer in play.

Here are the locations and times for Grades 3 & 5. Please ensure that you note your correct team number for your grade and Eircodes for your hall. Get there 30 minutes before the draw. Grade 1 teams will play a 3 way round robin on Finals day, 22 March 2026. Please note that warmups take no longer than 3 minutes, also please note the footware rules for the new floor in Baldoyle.

Inter County Draws Grades 2, 4 & 6. Preliminary Rounds. Sunday 1st February 2026.

Here are the locations and times for Grades 2, 4 & 6. Please ensure that you note your correct team number for your grade, Eircodes for your hall and start times as they vary per location. Get there 30 minutes before the draw. Grade 6 teams that are playing in Carlow should note that there are 2 different venues and you will have to move from one venue to the other throughout the day. It is very important that warmups take no longer than 3 minutes.

Please note the footware rules for Baldoyle & Whitehall Road. Both have brand new surfaces which can be damaged by gravel dragged in by shoes. Always ensure that you use different footware when entering or leaving these halls. See below for rules regarding Scoresheets, Shuttles etc.

INTER COUNTY DRAWS 2025

Inter County Semi-finals & Finals Schedule. Sunday 23rd March 2025. Grade 4 semi-finals to be played at Marino Institute of Education: https://maps.app.goo.gl/Rpzmk7Q8HGdnzund8, all other grades to be played in Baldoyle. ALL Finals will be played in Baldoyle in the afternoon.

INTER COUNTY Semi’s & Final’s 2024

The results of the 2024 Inter County competition are shown below. Both the semi-finals and finals were hotly contested. The winners now move on to represent Leinster in the BI All Ireland Finals on the 28th of April in University of Limerick.

3RD December 2023 – Terenure Badminton Centre

Players are put forward by their county, usually following county championships. Where counties do not put forward players, individuals can apply directly to play.

Players must have Leinster graded points. Player points can be found on the points per county section of this website.
